A rose by any other name

….a rose by any other name….
A rose by any other name was from the play Romeo and Juliet. This play was set in Verona Italy in the 14th century. The phrase means what matters it was something is not what it is called. It was in the play made for William Shakspeare. The play and the phrase is very famous in the theatre. The rose metaphor is said on the plays famous balcony scene. The play is a romantic comedy.

William Shakespeare wrote many quotes and he is very famous. In the play it was Juliet who said that line. That is not the full saying the full saying is: A rose by any other name would smell so sweet.  Sometimes the play is one on the movie channel. People sometimes call him Shakespeare instead of his whole name. Many people still love this play because it is so romantic. I haven't seen this play yet but I want to  though I would cry as my mum did when she saw it ages ago. She said it as a reference to Romeo's house.
