Join a community club:

I decided to join a church club for kids. This happens every Sunday afternoon at 1:00. It goes till 5. You  have crafts and fitness choices that leaders give, My leader is Nancy, she is quite old but she is very fun to hang with. We pray sometimes but we usually learn new things about god and the devil. I love doing this because I make new friends. I joined this group at the start of last term but it only runs for two terms. When we go to church we pay 3 dollars and our parents are not allowed to come in. It is only for kids.

  For p.e we can do dodge ball or tag. I usually stay inside and do puzzles and draw pictures.        Nancy usually helps the people out side with sport but I don't like going out side to do sport.When I draw I usually do things from space or from the sea. I have 3 friends at church called Lily, Josh and Jarvis. Jarvis always hangs out with me because he is not fit. My group ends at the end of this term on Sunday because Nancy is retiring.

Learn a instrument for a term:

This is me and my guitar

For 1 term I have been taking Guitar lessons with a guy called Micheal. I have been playing guitar by my slef for 2 years but I decided to take lessons to get better. I choose this instrument because I need to get better at using things with my hands. I love guitar. A guitar is a strinnged instument and it has 6 strings.

What is a guitar
A guitar is from the chordophone family. It had a hole in the middle of the strings for the sound to reflect from. With its clips you can tune the guitar. It is a instument that has a pick and has a strap that can go over you so that you can hold it.

Why I would reccomend Guitar
I reccoment this guitar because it is such a cool instrument. You can get them in different colours and sizes. You can play so many songs and you learn new things that you could use in life that is ahead of you.

Design A Challenge:
Make my dad a card and give him chocolate for his birthday:

On the 1st of July it was my dads birthday. I gave him a card that said for a special father with love.  It also said todays yor birtday so enjoy it. I brought his favorite chocolate which is Dairy milk crunchie. He loves his chocolate so much he hunts for it in the cupboards. When he has chocolate he won't let us have any. Its funny because he cant eat nutty chocolate but her tries to. He cant eat it because he has false teeth. He said he felt special when he got it because he hardly gets stuff from us.

I write in the card as well and he loved it. He ate most of the chocolate but he gave me some. I write have a great day and have fun. I also write love from your normal daughter. When I gave his presents to him he cuddled me and sat with me on the couch. I love my dad so much because treats me like I am so special.

Morning Blog Post

A rude Service:
On 26 of December of 2012 it was boxing day. My family decided to go to north beach and get my sister some shorts for summer because she didn't have any summer clothes that fitted her. One of the ladies serving costumers came up and asked my dad if he needed any help. When she asked him she was chewing bubble gum but she was really rude. When she was talking all you heard was her teeth grinding. She was ignorant so we left to buy the shorts. We brought 6 pairs and we complained about the lady. When we got home we got the shorts out of the bags but they ripped. All of them had ripped for some reason. We went back down to get them refunded and get our money back. The man serving us told us that when he took the clips off the clips made rips in the side. He was very sorry so he gave us some new shorts and our money back. When we complained about the ladie she said she was only trying to help. She was fired for being so ignorant and nasty. My dad said thanks to the man and we went home. My sister liked the new shorts better because they were not ripped. We laughed when the ladie that was fired cryed. We are never going to north beach at Fraser cove again after their rude staff.

Science Fair

My science fair topic is: What heat and temperature affects a magnet.
I choose this topic because in summer the magnets on our fridge keep falling off. My topic is about heating magnets up and seeing of they last on a fridge the longest if they are hot or cold. I thought this topic would be interesting because some people say that if you put a magnet on a fire place it will bubble up and then blown up. This didn't happen in my experiment because I only put the magnet on the fire place for 30 seconds. It was funny when I put the magnet in the oven it smelt really weird and it looked funny. For a while I thought the heat would make the magnet stronger but I was wrong. I now know that coldness will increase the strength of the magnet.

Captcha

Captcha is a service that helps the internent understand words that they cant read. It can tell if you are a robot or human because you have to type the words in that you can understand and read. Captcha is basically a security thing thats ptotects people or robots spaming your blog. There are two words that you have to type in, one easy one and one hard one. There are numbers sometimes but it proves you are not a robot. The words that are hard to read are from old books which the internet cant understand so they have a human to transalate them so they scan the books to put them online so you can read the forever. If the computer cant read the books it makes you type them out so you are doing a little job for the internet.


Captcha trusts you when you type the word in that the internet cant read. These books are ancient because the writing is hand written and not done by a computer. It is put on the internet so that you can read them forever.

Our School Cross Country

The sound was blown and the year 7s were off. Rimu was in front thank to Mela. The rush of the students slowly broke up. The girls were fast but not fast enough for Mela. She was like speedy Gonzales. She was still in front on her second lap and she was still staying strong. Lots of Rimu girls past but nobody could see Mela. When she came out in to the open we cheered because she was in the lead. When bigger groups came in of the girls the year 7s boys got ready but I wasn't interested in what they were doing.

I started to warm up when they did because I wanted to get ready for when my race starts. When the year 7 boys had finished I was so nervous because I thought I was going to fail. For some reason I did very well though I wanted to get a better place but I was still happy. The second lap was harder because I pushed my self over the limit trying to beat a girl from Tanekaha. In the end I placed 51 which was better then last year when I got in the 60-70.

A game I played is  Sushi Cat

Sushi cat is a game with a cat and he has to collect the sushi. It is easy because all you have to do is click where you want the cat to fall. You can't control how he collects the sushi because there are platforms which he bounces off of. You drag your mouse around and click it so it drops. There is a certain amount of sushi you have to collect but if you don't collect them all you have to start again. Each level gets harder and harder as you go. You can put costumes on the cat. It has a Japan setting inside a shopping centre. You have a certain amount of lives and you can't waste them.

Throughout the game you have moving platforms, bonus levels and golden cats which get you extra points. You also get boosters like canons and bow and arrows. I like the canon because it shoots through everything in its way. You have example levels on different stages but you don't have to watch them. Some levels you can get points if the cat fall into the correct noodle box.

My parent's job=
My dad works with glass: My dad fixes windscreens, windows,cat doors and all sorts of other thing. He works everyday and from 5 in the morning till 10 at the latest at night. He has no time limit for when he stops working. He goes to a lot of places like to Gisborne for car windscreen. He barley  comes home in the day. When he does come home in the day it's like for 5 minutes just to make a coffee.


My mums works as a teachers aid: My mum looks after deaf kids and people that are slow. She looks after them for 1-3 hours a day depending on what their doing in the day. She works at a local school. For her job she has to teach a girl named Paris that is slow and she works for a boy called Mozes and he is deaf. She has so keep them safe and make sure they don't get in trouble. Mozes is deaf but he is very active so my mum is always on the go. She works for 5 days a week.

Glen started to shout"If I do them could I get pudding"
"Yes" Mum slowly thinking about it

A Documentary

In rural Wisconsin, there is an abanded park. It served as the towns gathering place for everyone. That is until a newly developed train station came along. It was and innocent childish looking train, with one main head car with three small trolleys pulled behind it. It went around some loops before going through a small tunnel. There was a numerous case of childs death when the train came to town. All of the deaths happened after riding the train. Some kids dies ten feet out of the tunnel and others went missing and were found dead days later. There was one very interesting case where a girl name Olivia died going in to the tunnel. Her dress seemed to be covered in small bloody hand prints. Some of the towns people were going mad just looking at the train. This girl Olivia was very strange because even though she was dead she looked alive. Her dress went white in the morge and she was still in perfect condition. The towns elders thought she had been cursed but the rest of the town just greived. Their was one kid that survived the ride but he was very trumatised and nobody knew why. This boy told his mother that it was the train instructor, he hipnotised the kids into killing them selves.

My Weekend

The day started with my mum screaming in my ear telling me to wake up. Saturday was the worst because my mum was angry at my dad. I thought she was angry at me because I slept in. She was scary at first but then I made a coffee for her and she calmed down. I honestly thought she was gonna go mental at me because she was so mad. My dad had upset her for some reason but I dont know why. My mum did take me shopping because I was being good. I got  some tops and my mum got some skirts for work. My sister didnt know we went shopping because she was in bed till 10:30. Though my mum was happy at me she was grumpy at my sister for no reason. My dad took my little sister and my older brother out to work because he needed help.

On Sunday my dad asked if I wanted to go to the movies but I said no because I was tired from football practice in the rain. My dad stayed home from work to have some time with us but then he just ignored us the whole day. It was boring because it was raining and I couldnt go anywhere. I thought to play playstation but I couldnt find a game that I wanted to play. I decided to watch tangled and open season because they are cartoon movies and they are funny. I loved open season but I was on a sugar high so I was laughing so hard.

Saying

A leopard cant change its spots. Dont cover your self up because you are who you are so dont hide it.
That means you can't change your self no matter who you are. Just be yourself and you will be ok. Don't bother trying to change your self because you are fine the way you are. Idiom means a group of words established to a meaning. It is a form of expression to a person. There are heaps of idioms. This saying comes from the hebrew prophet Jeremiah when he was trying to expain to people they cant change who they are. Eg. I dont think tom will order pasta instead of pizza. (He cant change his mind no matter how hard he tries)

A Different Relative

My sister Victoria is different. The reason is she thinks that when she wants to do something she does it. Also she has anxiety, ocd and anger management. She gets so angry over nothing like when my mum gets hit on. It is funny because she storms off in to her room and starts swearing at her self. My sister is just stupid. When she sulks because she gets in trouble my mums calls her a horse face because of the expression she pulls. Sometimes she starts asking questions that are so idiotic it is so funny. Such as when you burn your lips on a hot coffee will you get skin cancer and if you put hot water in a frezzer for two weeks,pull it out and let it defrost will it still be hot. Though she is smart in school she is dumb at home. When she shaved her head for cancer she thought it would grow back in a week. She loves to knit but when she gets fustrated she quits and throws everything on the floor. She can be smart but also dumb at times but she is lovable. She walks like the grudge and she talks weird. She talks about her self when she is tired and always gets hungry. She is quiet tall and skiny but she thinks she is fat and she asks for a tummy tuck. She also has a pet spider that lives in the corner of the window called Frank.When she talks to her self she asks if she wants a coffee or is she wants to go out side. Somtimes she throws draws at us if she is angry but she only does it at me or my brother Glen.

Charging Laptops At School

Every year Rimu house uses a lot of power charging their laptops. About half the class have chargers at school everyday. Rimu house uses a lot of power and that is bad because the school has to pay for it. This is very bad cause the money we are using for paying the power bill should go to resources that our school needs. It would be easier of we payed 25c every time we had to charge their laptops. At the end of the term you add up all the money you need to pay and pay it. A another way to reduce the power is charge your computer at home and then if it goes flat use paper. I think that it is silly if we charge our computer at school because the power is using up our school money we could use for other thing that we need. We could use the money for sports gear or resources for the teachers.

The Weekend

Saturday morning was the worst. At eight o'clock my mum walked into my room and said" get out of bed you lazy egg!" I just slowly walked out of of bed and layed down on the floor in the lounge. My dad was home so he carried me back to bed and made me go to sleep. I thought to tell him about my mum but I decided not to so that I could sleep. I was relieved because I got to sleep in but I was scared what my mum would say because she usually gets really mad.

When I woke up at about 12pm my mum or dad wasnt there so I looked around for them. I was scared because they said the night before I could go clothes shopping and I was afraid they were not going to let me. I was annoyed when they walked in and said I wasnt allowed to go because I slept in when I was not allowed. My dad stood up for me so I was very nervous what my mum would say because she gets metal sometimes when I am naughty. She gave in when I sweet talked her to taking me. She made me have breakfast first which was disgusting. It was weetbix with bakebeans. I with so annoyed with her making me eat it. My sister was at the table writing lines for being naughty. I laughed and teased her so she would get angry and would have to do more. I started calliing her names so she started to throw a chair at me so my mum made her write more. My dad walked in front of me when my sister threw the chair and he got hit so he was very mad.

When my mum and dad finally took me shopping I was so excited because they said I could get what ever I wanted. I got some tops and jerseys but I didnt get any skirts or shorts. When we got home my sister was still writing lines so I just ignored her for the rest of the day

Our Cemetary Statistics Investigation

On Friday of last week my class went to the 17th Avenue Cemetery for a statistics investigation. We went in partners to find out our question that we made. My question was what was the most common name for males and females. My partner was Kayla. The most common name for a boy was John with 18 graves with John on it. My favourite grave was a book grave because it was highly detailed and nicely made. The most common girl name was Eve with 9 people being Eve. We had to wash our hands before we left because we were Tapu.


When we gathered up at the Cemetery we got told the rules. We were told we couldn't wander off and we had to be in range of the teacher. There was a lady that let her dogs run around and do their business on the grass and grave. It was very gross and she was so rude letting her dogs do that. I thought that it was fun and it was a very nice experience to go and do that for once. I really want to do it again.
