It started on Friday morning with everyone in Rimu house linning up ready to walk to Memorial Pools. Everyone was so excited because they wanted to swim. Rimu house was having a swimming sports. There were 8 avents which I competed in 5 of them. 25 metre freestyle, 25 metre backstroke, 25 metre butterfly, underwater swim and 25 metre doggie paddle. They were all very fun especially doggie paddle. I noticed that there were a lot of good swimmers in the year seven. Lots of people had fun swimming and no one was naughty. Hoani in year eight came first in every heat he was in.
The teachers competed in the relay and room 42 won because we were awesome. Mr Mossop a year seven teacher held is breath for so long. All the teachers were really good swimmers. Miss Mills head of Rimu said that her class would win but they didn't. She was a bit disappointed but she didn't sulk. The day ended very well and on time because nobody mucked around. As we finished we walked back which was fun but tiring and had lunch.
