Research Rimu

Where do you find it?:Rimu trees are only found in New Zealand, they are spread throughout the country from northland through to Stewart island.

Why is it important to Māori?:One of the reasons rimu is important to Māori is because in the old days they used it’s inner bark as a medical treatment for cuts and burns.


What uses does it have?:There are lots of uses for rimu some of them are made into timber because it is very strong and is very popular in older houses. The Māori’s

Why is Rimu the best tree in the school?I think that Rimu is the best tree in the school because it  towers over all the rest of trees. It has strong wood.
